Using the color code

-1st of all we have to see the resistor carefully & calculate according to color code. Such as: in color:-
red brown orange
2 1 3
2 1 x 1000
2 x 1000
2000 ohm
2000/1000 ohm
= 2 kilo ohm
Measuring Resistor
1.Switch on of multi meter (digital or Analog)
2. Select multi meter in ohm mode
3. Touch two legs of resistor into the multi meter & see,the resistor should show continuity or show ohm according to rule of color code.
4. If there is no continuity or no ohm, the resistor may be broken down.
5. The suspected resistor must be taken out from PCB before measuring the resistor
